Preface

The digital world changes at fast speed. The world’s information and knowledge is promptly flowing its way online. As a student and as a future career professional, it is very essential to access online information. Each new technology promotes new ways of thinking and learning. We have the opportunity to be more efficient, better educated and more prosperous with each new forwarded step. That is the reason to introduce E-learning Manual with Audio ROM and Video Resources for the students of Engineering and Technology. This book helps students to improve professional communication in English for successful professional interactions. E-Learning Manual Communication Skills in English provides easy access to practice professional communication and writing skills. This Digital Book introduces students to the theory, fundamentals and tools of communication to help them develop vital communication skills that would be essential to personal, social and professional communications. This digital book emphasizes more on practical exercises than textual explanation. This effort is made to make learning enjoyable and to expose engineering students to more interesting materials.

The work is divided into two major sections (A) Language & (B) Skills. Part A compacts with features of grammar and vocabulary and Part B focuses on the four skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Here content has been designed with highly effective Video Resources. All sections are designed and followed the same layout with multimedia interactive materials. Since this book is designed for students, activities are aimed in such a way as to encourage real-life use of language. All the tasks and activities are flexible enough to be handled confidently. This book can be used independently as a language lab manual for teaching communication skills. Teachers can use this manual with its unique set of exercises for the advanced communication skills. I hope that this E-learning Manual will help you in mastering communication skills and with that hope I wish you to learn as much as you can.

The author wishes to express deep sense of gratitude to all who helped for writing this book. The author would like to welcome any suggestions and assure the readers that their suggestions will hold a greater significance in next edition.
